Each Scotch Yoke actuator is built to provide long, efficient service with minimal maintenance. The design, engineering and materials used in their construction ensure optimum performance even under severe conditions.
Fully enclosed watertight centre body and O-ring covers ensure protection against water. The centre body has a guide that supports the transverse forces of the scotch yoke mechanism and ensures proper alignment of the piston plunger.
External adjusting screws allow precise adjustment of the angular travel of the valve from 80° to 100°.

ACTUATOR BODY

+ 10 different sizes from F10 (500 Nm) to F60 (250.000 Nm).

1 Internal O-ring to ensure protection against water.

2 Standard NAMUR connection for mounting limit switch boxes or positioners.

3 Threaded part at the front and rear of the body for easy mounting of the pneumatic control system.

4 Possibility of a vent valve to avoid internal overpressure due to mechanical movements and to prevent the ingress of water or corrosive elements.

INTERNAL PARTS OF THE ACTUATOR

+ 10 different sizes from F10 (500 Nm) to F60 (250.000 Nm). 4 Rotary spherical torque transmitter. 5 Replaceable bushings protect sliding and rotating components, suitable for dry and lubricated conditions. 6 Auxiliary slide bar with PTFE coating to avoid axial forces from the main bar. 7 The yoke connects the plunger to the guide block, compensating for side load deflection and reducing wear on the plunger, bushings and seals.

Scotch Yoke Actreg actuators are manufactured in several different models depending on actuator size, cylinder diameter and are available in single or double acting for installation on ¼ turn valves. These actuators are designed for a wide range of pressures or temperatures.
The Scotch Yoke mechanism is available in symmetrical design to meet valve torque requirements in specific applications with minimum cost and weight. The Scotch Yoke features a modular design. A pneumatic or hydraulic cylinder can be attached to one or both sides. A single acting cylinder can also be mounted on either side for ESD (emergency shutdown) applications. With a large stock of finished or semi-finished accessories available, actuators can be assembled and supplied with quick deliveries.
